POLICIES

Race Entry/Entry Fees

SSRA FIS Juniors and Juniors are entered into races via team entry. In this manner, athlete competition schedules are managed and athletes are registered on time and represented at team captains meetings.

Coach Per Diem

SSRA's philosophy in covering race travel costs is that athletes participating share the burden of coach traveling expenses as opposed to spreading the cost throughout the club. This expense is called coach per diem and includes lodging, meals and transportation, primarily. Whenever athletes can provide transportation for the coach, mileage charges incurred by the coach can be alleviated.

High Flourination Overlay Wax

SSRA purchases overlay wax for junior athletes. To avoid each family having to spend hundreds of dollars on this specialty wax for various temperatures/conditions, it is provided. To replentish the supply, wax fees are collected and deducted from race accounts. For every application (1 run) of GS, SG or DH, $2.50 is charged.

Race accounts are established for the aforementioned athletes. From these accounts, race entry fees, coach per diem and overlay wax charges are deducted. A $200 deposit is required to establish an account. Summaries of individual accounts can be accessed above by clicking on your name. Per Diem details can be accessed by clicking on the above race as well.
