SSRA Banff camp
SSRA will be traveling to Banff, Alberta for our annual Thanksgiving Camp. This camp will include six days on snow and will provide our athletes (and Parents) the opportunity to ski at all three of Banff’s premiere ski areas (Sunshine Village, Mt. Norquay, and Lake Louise). This camp is open to all SSRA athletes and families as well as families and athletes from other teams within PNSA. All U12 and younger athletes must travel with their parents or a guardian. U14 and older athletes have the option to travel and stay with the team or with their parents. The schedule will be as follows conditions permitting:
Mon -11/20 - Travel to Banff, Alberta
Tue -11/21 - The coaches will provide directed free skiing at Sunshine Village.
Wed-Sat, 11/22-25 - Training at Mt. Norquay.
Sat Eve, 11/25 - Bib Draw for the Men’s World Cup Super G on Sunday
Sunday, 11/26 - The coaches will provide directed free skiing at Lake Louise and watch part of the Super G.
Sunday PM, 11/26 - Travel Home
Lodging / Meals
The team lodging accommodations and meals will be at the Rundlestone Lodge in Banff (picture below). The hotel has several amenities including an indoor swimming pool, exercise room, and heated underground parking which provides for an ideal ski tune/wax room. Parents have the option to book any rooms/suites in the hotel at a 10% discount. Once registered we will provide the booking discount code.
The Rundlestone will also be providing our meals. We will have a hot breakfast buffet, sack lunch, and dinner every day. All athletes can participate in the meal plan even if you are not staying at the hotel.
If parents or families want to stay at the Hidden Ridge Resort (last year’s accommodations) we can provide contact information and pricing.
U14 and older staying with coaches
The cost for the U14 and older athletes staying with the coaches is $1650.00.This includes transportation, lift tickets, lodging, and all meals except lunch on the first travel day and dinner on the return travel day.
Athletes staying with parents
The cost of the camp for athletes staying with their parents is $1050.00. This includes all SSRA camp activities except meals and lodging. These athletes can opt in to the meal plan for an additional $270.00
The registration deadline is November 13th, 2017. Please click the registration button to begin the registration process. You will be invoiced after you register for the camp. Invoices will be due November 20th.
