FARLEY; SCHEIDT LEAD PNSA AT CANAMS

March 15 (Apex, BC)- Jared Farley(left) and Hunter Scheidt (right) provided leadership and fast runs at the 2015 CanAm

Championship races at Apex, British Columbia. The March 13-15 event included a super g, giant slalom, and slalom. In the 

Super G, Jared Farley led PNSA with a 50th place. Giant slalom was next with a PNSA-leading repeat performance for Farley

stopping the clock in 44th place. Scheidt was close behind crossing the line in 50th place. The event ended with Sunday's

slalom. Scheidt led SSRA and was 2nd for PNSA when he took 52nd place in the two-run cumulative time. Hunter moved

up from a start position of 70th  

TEAM CHARGES FORWARD AT LOOKOUT

March 8 (Lookout Pass)- The SSRA team travelled to Lookout Pass on Sunday, March 8 for a one-day Emerald Empire Youth Ski League GS race. The team maintained their lead as they attacked the GS piste in brilliant sunshine.

The U14 men were led by Jack Dale (1st), Ben Lewis (2nd), Caden

Goranson (4th), Johannes Liaboe (5th), and Henry Schafer (8th) 

 

The U14 ladies swept the podium with Daria Markewych 

taking the win, Ginny Lou Garabedian in 2nd, and Isabell 

Simpson in 3rd. Olivia Ellingwood and Grace Harrill rounded

out the podium finishers.

Maya Peck was crowned U12 girls champion taking gold in the

race. Marion Garabedian was a solid 5th place! 

 

Will Emch spoiled the blue podium party with a powerful bronze

medal performance. Johan Aden supported in 10th.

JoJo Spitz took gold for the U10 boys with Will Emch taking

bronze. Merrick Banning notched a 4th, Charlie Schafer a 7th,

and Cooper Holcomb an 8th. 

 

The U10 girls were led by Ava Anyan's bronze medal performance.

Alli Gardella took a solid 4th and Annalise Toillion chased in 9th.

Sophia Falter crossed the finish line with a silver medal

performance. Katja Holcomb took 6th and Sophie Aldred finished

7th. 

 

Luke Falter had silver on his mind with a 2nd place finish for the 

U8 boys. Jackson Spitz and Levi Aden supported with podium 

finishes.

SSRA BYLAW COMMENT PERIOD

Bylaw Amendment Membership Comment Period:
SSRA BOD has voted to amend the SSRA Bylaws. The amendment request is to increase the SSRA BOD positions by 2.  Therefore, there would be up to 10 BOD positions in any one calendar year. The BOD will be requesting a vote at our Annual Picnic meeting.Thank you, SSRA BOD
